What is Youth Education and Training Program?

The Youth Activities Program offers aid to State and local communities to run a complete array of youth services that support low-income youth (aged 14-21) seeking help in accomplishing academic and employment success.

Program members get services such as occupational skills training, counseling, internships, job placements, mentoring, tutoring, leadership development, and support services. To take part in this program, a youth must come under one or more of the following categories:

  1. lacking in basic literacy skills;
  2. a school dropout;
  3. destitute;
  4. a fugitive;
  5. a foster child;
  6. pregnant or a parent;
  7. an offender;
  8. requires additional help to finish education or secure and hold a job.

Who is eligible for this program?

In order to be eligible for this benefit program, you must be elder than 13 years of age, below 22 years of age, possess an annual pretax household income of not exceeding $8,861 per person and below $58,141 total.
