What is Live Sciences Awards Program?

The Life Sciences Awards competition will offer: $25,000 award to a scientist, with extra money for research; three $10,000 awards to high schoolteachers; and three $5,000 awards to high school pupils, who are assessed to demonstrate brilliance in the field of life sciences.

Who is eligible for this program?

The $25,000 Chairmen's Distinguished Life Sciences Award will be conferred to an adult scientist who is creating or has lately created a substantial and positive contribution associated to building a "cutting edge" innovation in the field of life sciences. Apart from that, $25,000 in research sponsorship will be awarded to be utilized to appoint a graduate student to help with the research or the money may be utilized for the research itself.

For receiving the research sponsorship, a detailed plan on the research project must be presented and sanctioned by the Foundation. Three $10,000 Life Sciences Educator Awards will be offered to current secondary school educators, with a minimum five years of teaching experience, and who are creating or have recently created substantial and positive contribution related to promoting the study of life sciences to students.

Three $5,000 Life Sciences Student Awards will be conferred to current secondary school students who are producing or have recently produced substantial and positive contributions associated to the study of Biology, Chemistry and other life science courses.
