What is Home Mortgage Insurance for Disaster Victims Program?

Who is eligible for this program?
Persons will qualify for this program if their homes are situated in a region that was chosen by the President as a disaster area and if their houses were ruined or destroyed to such an level that renovation or replacement isrequired. Insured loans may be utilized to fund the purchase or renovation of a one-family home that will be the main home of the homeowner.

How to apply?
The borrower's application for loan insurance must be filed with the creditor within one year of the President's declaration of the disaster. Applications are created only via an FHA authorized lending institution.
