What is Job Opportunities for Low-Income Individuals Program?

The objective of the Job Opportunities for Low-Income Individuals (JOLI) program is to examine and assess methods of generating employment and business openings for people receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) support.

The program also supports other low-income individuals through self-employment, micro-enterprise, new business ventures, and expansion of existing businesses through technical and financial aid and non-traditional job initiatives that result in their financial self-sufficiency.

Who is eligible for this program?

To become eligible for this benefit program, you, your spouse, parents or children must get or be qualified to receive Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), or your family's annual income prior to taxes must be below $10,830 if one individual stays in the household; below $14,570 if two individuals stay in the household; below $18,310 if three individuals stay in the household; below $22,050 if four individuals stay in the household; below $25,790 if five individuals stay in the household; below $29,530 if six members stay in the household; below $33,270 if seven members stay in the household; and below $37,010 if eight members stay in the household. Add $3,470 for every additional member residing in the family.
